On a normal day, will you walk into a cafe and after eavesdropping on others’ conversations, barge in and begin to act like a wise-ass criticizing anyone around you?

Most of us won’t do it in real life, but I see it on social media all the time.

Social media opens up and breaks down certain geographical barriers and that is a good thing. I think most people do not mind additional input from their social network peers – we are on these platforms to meet people, to share ideas and hopefully come out with new insights and information. However, as in real life, how we present our thoughts reflect who we are as a person to others and we will be judged accordingly. Forcing and judging others’ opinions on a personal level is demeaning especially if everyone can see that you are doing so to make yourself look smart. Eventually, you will not be welcomed nor engaged in any dialogues.
